National Grassroots & Communications was established in 1985 to develop grassroots strategies for corporate marketing campaigns, and gained national prominence in the 1980s when it helped a group of "kitchen table” activists form Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).

NGRC went on to serve as the public relations firm of record for Wal-Mart during its rise to become the world’s largest retailer, helped liberalize US trade laws for steel-using manufacturers, and developed consumer markets for Chrysler's new "minivan" concept car.

Today, we provide marketing and public affairs services for global companies in the U.S., Europe, and China.

marketing

NGRC helps companies develop and enter new markets.  We understand the external elements—including competitor actions, cultural trends, and regulatory and legal frameworks—that impact marketing decisions.

Our approach is to help clients get minimally viable products and services into direct contact with customers as the best way to accelerate development.  We also help segment target markets to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing campaigns. NGRC provides market research, polling and surveys, focus groups, and other market testing tools.

PUBLIC AFFAIRS

Our public affairs team manages government procurement, policy, and regulatory initiatives for clients.

Our team develops regulatory and legislative strategies, and works with political leaders, media, and other institutions to affect change.

We operate from Washington, DC, and provide state-based services from offices in Austin, TX.
